Cathy has extensive real estate experience. Beginning with holding the position of Property Manager and Leasing Agent for Burnside Realty from 1980-1994. In that capacity Cathy both managed and leased warehouse, office and retail space for the owners of the company. Property locations included Dartmouth, Halifax and Bedford/Sackville.
In 1994 Cathy achieved her real estate Brokerage license and opened her own commercial real estate company in Halifax. Shortly thereafter she joined with a partner to secure the franchise for Royal LePage Commercial for Atlantic Canada. Cathy was Vice President of Investment Sales and licensed in both Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. Her qualifications include the designations of CPM (Certified Property Manager) and CLO (Certified Leasing Officer) through the Real Estate Institute of Canada.
After successfully selling Royal LePage Commercial 'Eastern' Cathy returned to her home town of River John and opened Sunrise Brokerage & Sales Ltd. in June of 2007. Over 19 years Sunrise became known as the go to company for sales along the Northumberland shore.
In July of 2026 Cathy joined the sales team at REMaX Fairlane Realty and continues her role assisting folks with their real estate requirements.
Cathy's clients value her analytical skills, impartiality and ethical standards; in the past 20 years she has been predominantly involved in residential property sales on the North Shore of the Province. Her philosophy is that clients and customers deserve quality service, regardless of the size of the sale, Cathy is trusted and professional.
She is a member of several professional groups including, the Real Estate Institute of Canada; Past Director of the Pictou County Chamber of Commerce; Treasurer of the Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital Foundation, Tatamagouche.
